I have memories as a child of Grandpa Yoder going off on one of his many diatribes and Grandma just standing in the kitchen going about her day - as did all the rest of the women in the room. I'm not sure I ever recall anyone ever standing up to him. I believe that wisdom was passed along to all of us.
